Portland Place Project

The Portland Place Project stands as a cornerstone in the establishment of our network. Partnering with local creative Rasha Kotaiche, we secured a modest space in Doncaster Centre with the aim of providing an accessible venue for individuals seeking a space to unleash their creativity, collaborate, or pursue new ventures. Operating approximately three to four days a week, from 4:30 pm until the last person wrapped up for the night, often stretching into the early hours of the morning, our space buzzed with activity. From music production to video/photography, painting, knitting, and fashion design, individuals from diverse artistic backgrounds found a nurturing environment to explore their passions.

Our humble space quickly evolved into an incubator for Doncaster’s emerging music scene, leaving an indelible mark on our collective memory as the birthplace of our organisation’s journey and the catalyst for defining our direction.

Below, you’ll find snapshots capturing memorable moments from our time at Portland Place.
